ChocoYOU is an innovative online chocolate company based in Hong Kong, allowing everyone to create his or her very own chocolate on its fun online interface. Not matter how traditional or unconventional your taste buds are, you will be truly amazed by the flavours offered at ChocoYOU. ChocoYou's library of over 100 ingredients allow you over 27 billion possible combinations of flavours. Every bar is different, and unique, and 100 percent personalized. It's easy! 1. Choose dark, milk or white Belgium Chocolate Base 2. Choose the ingredients (Nuts, Fruits, Candies, Decorations, Infusions and more) 3. Name the creation and personalise the packaging
ChocoYOU uses only premium Belgian chocolate and the finest ingredients from around the world, from the more traditional nuts and dried fruit, to the crazier ones such as chicken ramen, seaweed and gold flakes. The company also includes local Hong Kong and other Chinese ingredients in its options. ChocoYOU's unique selection of Signature Chocolate Bars are available exclusively on the website. These chocolate bars are designed by the founder and Chocolate Executive Officer Alexis Kwong Alvarez and carefully made in small batches using premium Belgian chocolate. Alvarez, a Hong Kong native, began the company because he was disappointed by the lack of chocolate choices in Hong Kong, which is dominated by big named mass manufactured brands. He started making his own chocolate creations at home, mastering the art of tempering and blending Asian ingredients with chocolate. When he left the media industry in December 2010 after 16 years, he toyed with the idea of starting a chocolate company with the encouragement of his friends to share his passion. Taking cues from friends and the marketplace, he came up with the idea of a crowdsourcing platform for chocolate recipes. The crowdsourcing idea was then evolved to become ChocoYOU - online customized chocolates where everyone creates. |
