If you'd rather spot whales from the air, rather than by boat in choppy seas, who can blame you? The 2012 southern whale migration season has already resulted in record numbers of sightings up and down the east coast of Australia, with humpback and southern right whales the most common migrating species.?? James Guest, Director of Newcastle Helicopters said: "Seeing the whales from the air is a truly unique experience, while taking in the breathtaking coastline and beaches surrounding both sides of the Nelson Bay Peninsula. In close consultation with NSW National Parks, Newcastle Helicopters adheres to all whale-watching guidelines ensuring a safe distance is maintained from the whales whilst maximising the view for passengers. In addition, whale spotters are dispatched each morning to maximise whale sightings during the Heli-Humpback flights.Related Articles
