Is this a world first? We have all enjoyed breakfast in bed - but have you ever considered it in (garden) beds?Near River, an organic fruit and vegetable producer in the hinterland of Port Macquarie ran the ran the inaugural version of this event last year during the region's Tastings on The Hastings, and by all accounts it was a huge success. So this year, with a few added tweaks, they are running it again. The prime differences are there is a child ticket price and it is being run on Saturday and Sunday. For the uninitiated Breakfast in the Beds is the opportunity for you to experience our organic market farm - you will collect eggs, harvest citrus and fresh vegetables and the bounty will be handed to a chef - Todd Richardson from LV's on Clarence who will prepare it to be served to you as breakfast in an open sided marquee in Near River's market garden accompanied with a glass of sparkling white wine. It will all happen on Saturday and Sunday October 6th and 7th from 9am.
