Our family's favourite summer dessert
This is all you will need for the dessert. No added sugar, no salt, no fats - just pure cool deliciousness. Juice the oranges and place the juice in a large mixing bowl.
Place the peaches in a pan of boiling water and let bubble for a minute or two to loosen the skins. You DO NOT want to cook the peaches.
Cut the mango flesh into small chunks ...
...and chop the peaches and add them to the orange juice in the bowl. Mix well and refrigerate in a container. HINT: a large Fowler's Vacola jar is ideal as it takes up minimum space. Don't seal it, just pop a plastic sandwich bag over the top.
And here we have it - nectar! It doesn't need cream or ice cream but it goes well with either.
If you don't have enough fruit to make the full amount, just halve the quantities. |
