Wildiaries, a nature-based media company, has launched its first brochure featuring a unique collection of wildlife experiences led by Australia’s ‘best of the best’ wildlife guides.

The Wildiaries Experience is a portfolio of self-drive tours to Australia's most spectacular destinations and includes links to short films about people who know the country's wild places and rare creatures better than anyone.

The collection of tours is a result of two year’s research to seek out the country’s gifted guides and the most extraordinary Australian wildlife experiences available.

The tours extend across 10 regions chosen for their uniquely Australian characteristics, an Antarctic sailing adventure and exclusive tour to Papua New Guinea are also included in the 2014 brochure.

Wildiaries founder Simon Mustoe directed a series of 44 short films, in partnership with Tourism Australia, to highlight the deep connections local artists, guides and accommodation owners have with inspiring landscapes and the wildlife that inhabit them.

The 26 itineraries include encounters with Minke Whales, tree kangaroos, snow white wallabies, giant river lobsters, Quokkas and wombats. The portfolio includes tours to see all of Australia’s iconic animals guided by world-class wildlife guides. For example, a Western Australian tour dubbed ‘Chokka Blocka Fulla Quokka’ features the enigmatic marsupial and a charismatic guide.

Wildiaries has identified Melbourne as a gateway to Australia’s natural world, with more iconic wildlife experiences available on its doorstep than any other major Australian city. Three tours in its vicinity are designed to give visitors the most diverse and accessible wildlife experiences available close to a metropolitan centre. Marine encounters with dolphins, Australian fur seals and weedy sea dragons are complimented by inland rainforest and bayside adventures seeking superb lyrebirds, bandicoots, koalas, wild urban penguins and greater gliders.

Tailored packages and trips for families, groups, private and luxury journeys are a specialty of Wildiaries and its partner, Diverse Travel.
