Marrakech - May 31 to June 7 2014 - with Peta Mathias
The mystical marvellous country of Morocco is a traveller's delight. And when you can learn a new skill - such as how to cook some of its wonderful foods - that takes the journey to another level. There are still a few places on a Marrakech tour with Peta Mathias from May 31 - June 6, 2014. This year Morocco by Prior Arrangement is adding an enchanting desert visit as part of the tour – as if pomegranates falling on your head, roses softening your tread and handmade barley couscous with lamb and baby figs wasn’t enough. Think of a charming bivouac of a dozen oriental-inspired tents in one of the most beautiful corners of Morocco, decorated with locally crafted artwork, African woven matting and Berber rugs. There is a 360 degree view of the peaceful wide-open spaces. Then you have cocktails, a desert dinner, and a camel ride, the perfect way to unwind and disconnect from everyday life. There's no need to say, that this is a fabulous party tour. October 5 to 18 2014 - Out of Africa Luxury Tour with Hassan M'Souli
Have you ever dreamed about sampling authentic Moroccan cuisine overlooking the Atlas Mountains, on the edge of the Sahara, or visiting romantic Casablanca and learning to cook authentic north African food, with the charming and award winning Chef Hassan M’souli? Or perhaps wondered about the excitement of an off road four wheel drive before watching a beautiful sunset from your own private desert camp, followed by a delicious feast of slow cooked lamb (Berber style). Maybe you would like to browse colourful food markets with an expert guide, or purchase a stunning caftan or carpet in the exotic souks of Marrakech? A leisurely massage in a traditional Hammam might take your fancy, or witnessing a glorious sunrise before traversing spectacular landscapes to reach the Valley of a 1000 Kasbahs, where roses are famously harvested for many luxurious products. You can do all this, and more, on our ‘Out of Africa’ 14-day luxury culinary tour of Morocco lead by Hassan M’souli together with Carol Prior. Take home many authentic cooking skills and recipes learned in exotic and interesting locations. Enjoy delicious dinners nightly. Be inspired by his passion for North African cuisine alongside other highly respected Chefs. Take pleasure in the rich culture and beautiful scenery of Morocco, from eating seafood on the beach, to dining on Royal Cuisine. This unique insight into the country, with its abundance of fine ingredients, and compelling food, makes this a truly spectacular gourmet trip of a lifetime!
11 to 25 November 2014 Rediscovering Morocco Through the Eyes of Nadine Abensur
As a child Nadine spent time with her parents and grandparents in Casablanca. You are invited to join Nadine on her rediscovery of her native Casablanca to the houses she stayed in, the ice cream shop where she used to go and the beachside restaurant where she ate sardines and shoestring chips! Then journey with her to the spiritual capital Fes to cook in a secret garden, Marrakech to get into the atmosphere of the souks and visit designer workshops, artists’ studios and galleries. Cook, fish and paint in Essaouira, and of course ride a camel! For further information on all these tours, contact Morocco by Prior Arrangement.
