Join your guide, Nota, on this special tour to discover the archaeological site of ancient Thorikos that lies at the outskirts of Athens – at the coastal southeast part of the Athenian peninsula, the area known as Lavrion, where the most important silver-bearing lead deposits of the entire ancient Greek world are located. Aside from the presence of ancient settlements, cemeteries, quarries and of important industrial quarters (and their ore-processing workshops), Thorikos is famous for its ancient theatre, the most renowned, conspicuous and controversial monument of the site. It was built in the early 5th century BCE (some 2,500 years from present) and its date and peculiar shape, both very exceptional features, are most likely linked to the social and political organization of the Athenian democratic regime structured since the late 6th century BCE. Important note: Heygo is very happy and eager to show you this extremely important and beautiful place, especially after having a special permission to visit and live streaming inside the archaeological zone. ~~~

As an opening drawcard in early September, alongside the Scapegrace Black samples and a cocktail guide, anyone to place an order through Box Bar and have the Scapegrace Black Box delivered to their door, were granted access to a one-off gin masterclass hosted by Mikey Ball, Scapegrace Ambassador and Creator of Scapegrace Black, and James Harvey-Fiander, Chief Experience Officer at Box Bar.
