The Coffee Experience |
The Royal Hall of Industries in Sydney's Moore Park is the ideal space for an exhibition and interactive event such as The Coffee Experience. The building is old, and as you approach nothing can prepare you for what lies inside. Here – just for three days a year – you'll discover an avant-garde selection of coffee machines, specialty brewing gear - and of course dozens of single-minded baristas, intent on creating the perfect coffee. Every time!
Inside the hall baristas will be pouring latte art in front of smart phones and judges. Aspiring coffee shop owners will be discovering trade secrets to making their dream a success, and coffee geeks will be marvelling at the latest gadgets to put on their Christmas wish list. Each day of the three-day event (from September 3-5, 2015) from the moment the doors open at 10am, there will be plenty of activities and demonstrations for visitors to engage with. Day 2 saw the finals of the Regional Coffee Championships in the Barista, Latte Art, Brewers Cup, and Huhtamaki Cup Tasting Championship.
Day two of The Coffee Experience also kick-started the DaVinci Gourmet Australian Coffee Chain Championship, running from 4 – 5 September. Brought to you by the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA), the exciting new coffee competition will put the country’s leading coffee chains in battle to test the skills of their baristas. Baristas will compete in three rounds, including Latte Art, Seasonal Beverage, and Service Time. The teams will be judged on accuracy, time, consistency, cleanliness, and service to the judges. Australia’s top coffee chains competing include McCafé, Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue, Velocity Espresso and Bar, Shingle Inn, The Coffee Club, Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Michel’s Patisserie, and Donut King.
If the competitions become too intense to watch, then wander through the exhibits to experience technology demonstrations, engage in MYOB-Kounta Business sessions, network with industry leaders, and sample coffee to you can’t handle any more. Who wouldn't like a car equiped like this on!
Tickets to The Coffee Experience include: 1 day ticket = $20 2 day ticket = $35 3 day ticket = $45 On site rates: 1 day pass = $25 To purchase your ticket and take full advantage of the discount, visit: events.ticketbooth.com.au/event/TheCoffeeExperience Follow The Coffee Experience on Twitter @CoffeeExperienc, twitter.com/CoffeeExperienc #TCE2015, on Facebook www.facebook.com/thecoffeeexperience on instagram instagram.com/thecoffeeexperience
