| Rhinos lead in conservation |

Sydney and South African Tourism have come together in a bid to help the endangered rhino. South African Tourism is proud to announce its support of the Taronga Wild! Rhinos public art exhibition which kicked off recently across New South Wales. In an effort to increase awareness of the species’ plummeting populations and the renewed fears that the rhino is facing the risk of extinction, South African Tourism has partnered with Taronga Conservation Society Australia in its Wild in Art event.
From February – April 2014, a herd of 125 life–sized colourful rhino and calf sculptures painted by artists and local schools will charge across New South Wales as part of a mass public art exhibition to help raise both awareness, and following an auction of the sculptures, valuable funds for Taronga’s world leading Black Rhino breeding program and in-situ conservation projects.
