Taste Festivals have set a new benchmark for food and drink events worldwide and is synonymous worldwide with each city's leading restaurants and chefs, fine food, quality wine, gourmet produce and relaxed enjoyment.

Great news for 2012 is that Taste of Melbourne will move outside into the warm weather of late spring bringing it in to line with other global Taste Festivals, including Amsterdam, Auckland, Cape Town, Dubai, Dublin, Edinburgh, Johannesburg, London, Milan and Sydney.

This year's event promises a stellar line up of Melbourne's latest, greatest and hottest restaurants including The Point and MoVida, both of which were awarded two chef's hats in The Age Good Food Guide 2012, The Botanical and Albert St Food & Wine. Frank Camorra's Pacos Tacos van will also be making an appearance throughout the festival. More restaurants to be announced shortly.

New for 2012 is Sustainable Living hosted by Dirty Girl Kitchen with rotating pop-up restaurants; featuring Matt Wilkinson's celebrated Bishop of Ostia & Pope Joan, cooking demonstrations and tutorials about eating and living 'green'. Malaysia Kitchen will be giving you a true taste of Malaysian cuisine and culture. Pick up informative tips from top chefs at the all new Chef's Skillery or enjoy a luxurious experience in the Jaguar Champagne & Oyster bar.

Don't miss The Bertolli Taste Kitchen in association with Australian Gourmet Traveller where Melbourne's culinary greats share their secrets and show off their skills in a host of elite pan rattling demonstrations and the Plumm Wine Theatre in association with Australian Gourmet Traveller WINE featuring tastings hosted by Nick Stock and Matt Skinner.

Returning favourites include the Sensology presents 'the art of cocktail making' masterclass where expert mixologists take you through step by step guide to making and serving iconic cocktails. Indulge your senses in the Nespresso Experience and sample some of their sustainable Grand Crus.

'Live Italian' and enjoy the outdoor café experience with Acqua Panna. Tempt your taste buds with authentic Italian pizzas designed by Remo Nicolini of Bar 39 and enjoy a cocktail or two made with the refreshing flavours of Sanpellegrino Sparkling Fruit Beverages.
