The Big Brother (above) is one of Nomerz’ earliest works, 2010 What to do when some of your town's structures start to turn into eyesores? You make them eye-catching of course! A former hip-hop grafiti-artist Nikita Nomerz, from the northwestern Russian city of Nizhniy Novgorod, has refined his talents into street art that regenerates a dilapidated or downright ugly building into something amusing or beautiful. Nomerz channels the inner soul of each place and seeks to renew it sympathetically with its origins.
(Toothy Man) Since the first of his works in 2010, Nomerz' project is what he calls The Living Wall. Decorating places from St. Petersburg eastward to the Chinese border city of Mudanjiang, Nomerz has added a little extra character to many places sorely needing attention. He is not fussy, though. Sometimes he applies his art to places which are not abandoned.
