This brand new and exciting cooking and wine school in Northern Spain, opened in spring, 2015, will interest travellers and foodies from Australia and New Zealand. San Sebastián is the culinary capital of the world, with more Michelin stars per capita than anywhere else on the planet, farmers' markets six days a week and hundreds of bustling pintxo bars. Located in one of Spain's grandest hotels - the Hotel Maria Cristina, a Luxury Collection Hotel, the SSF Beronia Cooking School will offer a roster of delicious, innovative and enjoyable cooking courses in a state-of-the-art cooking environment. Come and experience all the legendary flavours of the Basque Country in a new, luxurious setting in the heart of San Sebastián.
The new cooking and wine school is an expansion of San Sebastian Food, the leading group providing a full range of food and wine experiences in the Basque region. Behind it all is a family of a dozen food and wine professionals, locals, experts and passionate foodies with an expansive knowledge base. They lead culinary tours throughout the Basque Country in northern Spain and southern France, and offer everything from cooking classes and jamón carvings, to visiting wineries and local markets and simply hitting the old town for a fun night of pintxo bar hopping.
