Summer dishes are now on board at the Italian small-plates restaurant Papi. Offering a selection of seasonal small-plates and more, Papi welcomes Hongkongers to share the best tastes of summer with family and friends. Fresh tomatoes are not to be missed in the summer months. Share the simple yet delicious Bufala Mozzarella cheese with Italian cherry tomato (HK$118) around the table in family style. Served with basil and French ice leaves, this refreshing small-plate is the perfect dish to start the meal. Semi-dry tomato with Italian goat cheese (HK$78) is another tomato dish which is pleasant to enjoy, made from fresh Sicilian tomatoes oven dried for 5 hours, topped with rich Italian goat cheese and seasoned with parsley, pepper, olive oil and herb oil.
Summer seafood options include the Summer open sandwich (HK$98) topped with Salmon caviar, new potato and broccoli alfalfa is a summer delight loved by all. Other seafood small-plates to be shared include the fresh Squid/ Italian cherry tomato/ white bean salad (HK$88) and the crunchy Deep fried Japan star eel with ice leaves salad (HK$158). Papi's mains and pasta dishes are made for sharing as well. Dig into the Sicilian Red Prawn with Mixed Seafood Stew (HK$328), a gigantic bowl of the best summer seafood to wow the whole table. A hearty selection of Sicilian Red Prawns, scallops, sea almond clams, mussels, squid and yellowtail are simmered with rich homemade tomato sauce and lobster sauce for a delicious stew. Porcini is also at its best now - try the Tuscan porcini mushroomand Parma ham risotto (HK$178) before the porcini season ends.
Apart from the seasonally spruced-up menu, Papi always prepares several Daily Specials for diners to enjoy. From salads to mains, the Daily Specials are freshly made with the top ingredients of each season, giving guests something new to keep coming back for every time.
