Often controversial, always well-written and never boring, AA Gill's essays which appear monthly in Australian Gourmet Traveller have won him a faithful Australian fan-base. Not that Gill needed any more followers. Already his UK work as a reviewer in the Sunday Times and Vanity Fair has seen him become one of the country's foremost restaurant and travel critics.
