And we all thought this 135-metre high wheel was just for tourists, providing a way to get a pigeon's eye view of the great city! Olympic fever has hit even here, though, with news that over the Games period it will become a massive Twitter-linked 'mood ring'. Truly! A skilled team of Twitter experts has been hired to scan and interpret UK-based tweets that mention the Olympics. A 'sentiment algorithm' determines the level of positive and negative emotion contained in tweets. So if you see the massive eye in the sky during the Games' nightly 30-minute light show glowing yellow, that's good news - the vibe is positive. Green indicates neutral and purple, negative. Guess that means they're going for gold every night! |
