Fifty years ago on August 9th, 1965, when Singapore left the Malaysian federation, there may not have been the same jubilation as there is now, fifty years later.
Now celebrating its golden anniversary, the entire city is aglow. There is plenty to do, festivities, events, displays, and of course (this is Singapore, you know!) there is always the delicious melting-pot cuisine, blending the flavours of all the nations that love to live or visit here.
