Whitsundays obstacle course |
Not if you consider what happens on the Whitsunday Coast. If you enjoy a good challenge, start packing your bags and get ready to conquer the Whitsundays' first obstacle course event at Obstacles Gone Mad! Whitsundays held on the Whitsunday Coast on Saturday, 30 May 2015. Feel the adrenaline rush through your body as you climb up a rope, crawl through nets, travel along monkey bars, pull yourself over a wall and crawl through mud pits. Test your physical strength and mental grit as you master the course to the cheering of family and friends. Mud, sweat and tears are what it takes to conquer the course but don't worry, you will be rewarded with the most stunning surrounds (you're in the Whitsundays after all!). So make sure you make it a weekend away and schedule some time to rest and relax.
The event is a fun fitness challenge and participants can test their strength at a 5km or 10km obstacle course. Little ones get the chance to participate in a course specifically designed for them and spectators can join in the fun with lots of entertainment and other activities. The amateur sport of obstacle course racing is booming and is the latest fitness craze. Throw in a stunning destination like the Whitsundays and you've got yourself an active and fun-filled weekend away at one of Australia's premier holiday destinations. And where is it? The 74 islands of the Whitsundays are in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef on the central eastern coast of Queensland, and easily accessible by air or road. |
