....an underwater wedding? In Trang, Thailand, the Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony, this year took place between February 10-12. Understandably, Trang is known as a land full of love. Trang Underwater Wedding was awarded by the Guinness World Records as The Largest Underwater Wedding Ceremony, and takes lovers to the depths of the ocean by arranging a traditional Thai wedding ceremony complete with a Buddhist ritual. The ceremony concludes with the couple signing a wedding certificate - also under the water. As the province's most fascinating event, the Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony is held each year around Valentine's Day during the Trang Season of Love for couples, both engaged or married. Also in Thailand it is possible to have your wedding registration on elephants at the Elephant Study Center in Surin Province, on February 14, 2014. The ceremony, known as Sud Tae Ceremony, is the traditional wedding of the local tribe called Guay. In Thailand, it is believed that a wedding registration on elephants will bring about good fortune and prosperity to the couples. |
