Transport-themed holiday park |
Transport fans, this may be Ireland's answer for you. Quirky Glamping Village is a transport-themed accommodation park containing its very own Boeing 767 aeroplane. You can choose to stay in one of ten double decker buses in The Bus Stop or lounge about with a cup of tea in one of our three train carriages in the Train Yard. If you fancy sleeping in a boat without being rocked to and fro, then The Marina would be best for you! If wish to experience a comfortable sleep in a taxi cab then have a look at the fleet of eight taxis all lined up at the Taxi Rank.
Strategically located between Mayo and Sligo along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, this glamping village is in the buzzing holiday town of Enniscrone. You can also choose to relax and unwind in WaterPoint where you can enjoy the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi by day, while evenings offer good craic in the local pubs and restaurants where tourists and holidaymakers can find a taste of Irish culture - not to mention the local legend of the Black Pig of Enniscrone, whose impressive statue boldly guards the town.
But wait... there's more. If you want the ultimate experience of sleeping in a Boeing 767 and see what it’s like to sit in a pilot’s seat in the cockpit, you can do that too. This aircraft has been transported to the site and its interior transformed to offer eight units of spacious double bedrooms. It is expected to have its first 'passengers' stop over in summer, 2016. This fascinating project is being filmed for a six-part documentary program to be aired by one of Ireland's top TV channels. More details..... Follow on Facebook.... |
