Perfectly timed for those heading off on the great Australian road-trip experience, this book subtitled "around Australia in 30 ingredients" has to be the perfect 'see-you-later' gift. It may use only a small number of ingredients but there are close to 200 recipes from all around the country. It's a very clever concept. Each section shows where the town for which the various recipes are named, and you can imagine sometimes the 'pantry' would be stretched to using local produce too. So you can eat Longreach zucchini fritters and Wilpena warm beef salad, or Lake Grace chicken patties followed by Albany almond bread. Or, for a bit of fun, you can simply cook whatever is named for the area you are camping in that night! This is the ultimate user-friendly book:
This is the third book by Eva Stovern. The others are Caravan Chef and Caravan Chef 2. In this book she has combined recipes from the previous two books and added another thirty for good measure. Eva still travels the country using and adapting these recipes and developing new ones. Look for her van with the Caravan Chef logo on it. If you see it, "Please come over and say Hi!," she says. |
