Cook fast, eat well |
This is for all those time-poor people who love to eat but hardly have time to set the table. Or shop for loads of groceries. Or read a complex recipe. Or... you get the idea! This book spells it out on the cover. Five ingredients, 10 minutes and 160 recipes that carry out that promise. And it's not the same-old five foods juggled around. There's plenty of variety from plates to share to light bites, salads, mains, desserts and more. Oh, and Sue has factored in the healthy bit too with her recipes. Sue Quinn is well able to give advice, too. She is a well-respected cookbook author and food writer and her recipes have appeared in Delicious and BBC Good Food magazines. So what's for dinner? Well how about a hearty cauliflower masala soup, followed by sizzling spiced lamb with hummus, and if you have any room left, a slice of cheesecake? If it's snack time, parmesan popcorn should keep the kids (and older ones too) happy, or for more gourmet tastes, a parmesan lace cracker or two. The menus could go on and on, but you get the idea. Quick, easy, sensible, and delicious, with lots of tips and ideas and helpful hints for what to keep on hand at all times so you can whip up a meal with one hand (almost!).
