| World's largest bird has landed |

In Kerala, southern India, this giant rock, at a height of over 300 metres and reached by cable car, holds the world’s largest bird sculpture, equivalent to seven storeys high. Inside, an audio-visual museum spans five levels, and there's a multi-dimensional mini-theatre inside the wing of sculpture. Jatayu stands for valor and chivalry in south-Indian legends, and there is no greater tribute to women’s safety and honour than this world-first example of sculptural architecture - or is that architectural sculpture?
Jatayu also represents a bygone era when humans, animals, birds and other living forms cared for each other and fellow begins and lived peacefully on this Earth. Each guest at Jatayu Earth's Center is requested to understand and emulate the inner meaning of this inspiring creation.
The destination is right at the epicentre of south Kerala's tourist spots and is easily accessible by road or the nearest international airport, Trivandrum, 50 kilometres south. Jatayu Earth's Center is an outstanding example of sustainable and eco-friendly tourism in India. The hills, valleys, caves and vegetation spread across 65 acres remain almost unaffected by the addition of a popular tourist destination. The Jatayu sculpture stands as a guardian to the hills and rocks, also protecting them from mining. |
