Sofitel Sydney's Mother's Day, 2012 |
Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is offering an exclusive 'Dine with the Divas' High Tea and The 7 Sopranos concert package to celebrate Mother's Day in song and style this May. Priced at $144 per person, the offer is available on Mother's Day only, includes an elegant High Tea with a welcome glass of French champagne at the Sofitel hotel located on Phillip Street, plus a concert ticket to experience a special one-off Mother's Day performance of all your favourite opera and musical classics, performed by The 7 Sopranos on May 13 at 2pm in Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney's Conservatorium of Music. A classical spectacle combining glamour and intense vocal virtuosity, The 7 Sopranos are a stunning tribute to female characters in opera and musical theatre, with performance highlights from Madame Butterfly, Carmen, La Boheme and Lakme.
The Sofitel's high tea concept, 'Dine with the Divas', is the perfect opportunity to personally mix and mingle with The 7 Soprano Diva's after the concert and celebrate the day in song and style. Inspired by the art of French cuisine in contemporary style, while invoking the classic heritage and history of the original Wentworth - Sydney's first international hotel - Afternoon Tea at the Wentworth features a mix of savoury and decadently sweet items, served with Ronnefeldt Tea or espresso coffee. The piéce de résistance of the offering is the hotel's very own original Wentworth Cheese Cake carefully recreated each day by Sofitel for an authentic high tea experience that embodies the spirit of the Wentworth hotel. Other items include Sofitel's chocolate mousse cadeau, macarondes, 'financier' hazelnut cake, lemon curd tart, scones with jam and freshly whipped cream and a selection of sophisticated finger sandwiches. Following this musical highlight for Mother's Day, Sofitel's Afternoon Tea at the Wentworth is served year round between 2.00pm until 5.00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 2.00pm until 6.00pm on Sundays. The offer is priced from $49 per person served with traditional tea and $59 per person with French Champagne. The location is the luxe and lovely Sofitel Lounge, with direct access on the hotel's lobby level available from Phillip Street, and bookings are recommended.
