Segways in Australia's Red Centre |
If you are looking for a fun and exciting way to experience Uluru (aka Ayers Rock) you may like to consider Uluru Segway Tours. It is now possible to tour around the whole base of Uluru on Segway, Rather than walking the base of Uluru you can cruise it in style on a Segway. Seeing the entire base of Uluru on a Segway is fantastic. It allows you to easily cruise the full base of Uluru, in less time than it takes to walk. On Segway you can even travel faster than the flies!
“While travelling overseas I was surprised to see how many places had embraced Segways," says Mark Swindells, Director, Uluru Segway Tours. "I couldn’t wait to get on one. In Europe I was able to experience the whole of the city on a Segway in just a few hours. It was surprising at how fun and easy the Segway was. The others in my group were a mixture of people. There were young and fit people wanting to experience the city in a cool way. There were older people who didn’t have the ability to walk from one end of the city to the next. I realised this would be a perfect way for people who are wanting to travel the complete base of Uluru.”
Gliding around Uluru on a Segway allows time to admire the geology and size of this icon. You can see ancient Aboriginal rock art and learn about Anangu (local Aboriginal) people, and learn about their way of life and their culture, the Tjurkurpa. It is certainly a cool way to experience one of Australia’s most incredible landscapes and ancient cultures. To learn more about Uluru tours – click here! |
