No, this is not a top hotel. This is travelling in comfort with Abu Dhabi-based carrier Etihad Airways which has recently unveiled its new ‘residence’ class on board its Airbus A380 super-jumbos and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. But wait, there's more. Not only is the bed luxurious, but this is just part of a three-section private cabin which includes a lounge area and a bathroom with shower! And should you need any further spoiling, simply press the call button to summon your private onboard butler, trained by the Savoy Butler Academy in London, part of the Savoy Hotel.
The catch is that each of the airline’s A380s will feature just one residence, suitable for two people. It will be located at the front of the upper deck on board the double-decker superjumbo and Dreamliner. Prices should match the sky-high elegance with a flight from Abu Dhabi to London in the residence class expected to cost more than $20,000. |
