SNACKS & STREET FOOD: Kulfi Indian ice-cream, Lassi yoghurt drink, BREAD: Mainly flat breads such as roti, naan, paratha, puris, poppadums. CHEESE: Paneer, a fresh white cheese. POPULAR DISHES: Varies according to region ..read more OTHER DISHES: Most dishes are highly spiced especially in southern areas. LOCAL DRINKS: tea, chai, coffee, beer, juices, coconut water, Fenny, a Goan liquor made from coconut or cashew apple juice. PRODUCE: rice, wheat, lentils, lamb, goat, dairy products, fruit and vegetables, varying according to climate. NEED TO KNOW: Dinner is considered the main meal of the day.
